Former Soviet Union World Cup player Sergei Baltacha has apparently turned down the opportunity to manage Hearts, according to local news reports.
The story is that Baltacha was ‘unable to see eye to eye’ with Vladimir Romanov when it came to their footballing philosophies. Where have we heard this before?! No doubt the subject of
team selection was part of the difference of opinion, something that if Romanov continues to press ahead with the way he has recently, will continue to frighten off any manager worth their salt from
taking the job.
It’s time to wake up, Vlad. Appoint an experienced managed and let him do his job. Properly.
