Pre-season started with a Hearts win in Dublin on Wednesday thanks to two late goals in a two-nil win over Bohemians.

The spell in Ireland quite literally saw it a game of two halves as two different sides taking took the field in each 45-minutes, among those involved were summer signings Blazej Augustyn, Juanma and Gavin Reilly. All three started.

Mergim Bajraktari, who is on trial looking to impress Head Coach Robbie Neilson, was also given a start.

A goalless first half looked to be going the second way in the second but a late Callum Paterson (86) effort was followed up by a last minute Soufian El Hassnaoui (90) penalty to secure a two-nil win with Shelbourne faced on Saturday.

Bajraktari will again be given a chance in that game as he looks to stake a claim for a permanent contract.

Hearts first-half: Alexander, Smith, McGhee, Augustyn, Henderson, Nicholson, Gomis, Bajraktari, Oliver, Juanma, Reilly.

Hearts second-half: Hamilton, Paterson, McHattie, Trialist, Buaben, Anderson, Pallardo, Walker, King, Sow (Buchanan, 74′), El Hassnaoui.
