Well now’s your chance as Big Hearts and Heart of Midlothian FC have once again teamed up with Football Aid – – to provide fans with the unique opportunity to create their own piece of club history by playing at Tynecastle, while raising valuable funds for the Big Hearts Community Trust as well as projects nominated by Football Aid’s parent charity Field of Dreams.

Football Aid have been organising charity games for over 18 years now and are regarded as the original and best in delivering the ultimate pitch day experience.

As a player you’ll get the chance to pull on your exclusive personalised Heart of Midlothian replica shirt in the official changing rooms, experience the thrill of walking down the tunnel to the sound of a cheering crowd and step out onto the hallowed turf proudly sporting your official playing kit and represent The Jambos in a never to be forgotten 90 minutes of football!

To add to that, the matches at Tynecastle have also been supported by a host of fantastic Heart of Midlothian legends in previous years, with the likes of Alan McLaren, Alan Lawrence, Jimmy Sandison, Steven Boyack (and many more) all lending their extra special support by playing alongside or managing the fans on their big day.

Positions are available for Bidding from just £155 and securing a position couldn’t be easier! Just visit and choose the Heart of Midlothian game, you’ll then have two options: 1) Bid to Play – Enter your Maximum Bid and if you’re the highest bidder when the position closes you’ll win a place on your Field of Dreams, or 2) Buy Now – Close the auction early and secure your place with a one off payment.

Positions close at regular intervals throughout the bidding period, with the first positions closing on Tue 18th February and final positions closing Friday 13th March.

Hearts fan Mark Kirk took part in a previous year and told Football Aid about his experience after the match:

“I just wanted to say thanks for all you hard work and understanding in helping me out for the match at Tynecastle yesterday. I had an amazing day, what an experience! I’m definitely feeling the worse for wear today but am already trying to plot if I can do it again next year!”.

Additionally, Football Aid will host a second match on the same day with fans competing in a Scotland vs Rest of the World international fixture. Proceeds from this match will also benefit the work of a charitable project nominated by Big Hearts.

Since forming in 2001 Football Aid have allowed over 19,500 football fans the chance to Live the Dream in 738 matches all over the UK, Europe and USA, while pledging over £2.4M for charity. The unique concept was the brainchild of businessman and Football Aid Founder Craig Paterson and funds raised from this year’s event will benefit the work of a charitable project nominated by the Big Hearts Community Trust, as well as projects nominated by Football Aid’s parent charity Field of Dreams.
