Hearts striker Callum Elliot has gone on loan to Livingston for the rest of the year.

Elliot, a player who has endured much criticism for his performances from the Hearts support in recent, frustrating seasons, has been looking for a move for some time now, but I’m not altogether sure
if a loan deal was what he had in mind. Still, it could be one of those moves where if he does well enough within a certain timeframe, he can earn himself a permanent move, so it could be that this works out well for him, especially given the fact that he’s dropped down a level and could use this as an opportunity to put in some good displays to build his confidence back up.

Hope it goes well for him…….

  • It’s only until January MrH… not the rest of the season. Which means we get the big-headed dancing mule back after Christmas. Joy…

  • It will be interesting to see if Livi continue to play him as a striker – it might be best for everyone if they try to develop him more as an attacking midfielder. The lad must have “something”, because he keeps getting picked for Scotland U-21s …. although maybe Billy Stark and Stevie Frail are maybe the only 2 coaches in Scotland who think so !!

  • The one that scored 9 goals in over 50 games for Hearts – yes Dalien. It’s shocking that we have held him back for so long. Still, needs must and all that…
