Hearts edged out manager-less Inverness Caledonian Thistle at Tynecastle this afternoon after a slightly strange 90 minutes resulted in a 3-2 win for the home side.

Second half substitute Larry Kingston, who could have been making his final appearance for the club today, was the late goal hero, turning in an Andy Driver cross from close range barely a minute after the visitors’ Dougie Imrie had scored an incredible free-kick that looked certain to snatch a point for his side, which arguably would have been deserved.

A strange 90 minutes, as you say. A fairly forgettable first 45, apart from a bad ICT miss and a couple of decent Hearts moves down the left – one of which saw Driver deliver a fine cross for the much-maligned Obua to score with. The 2nd half had everything – 4 goals including a stunning free-kick and a great last mnute winner, a missed penalty, a man sent off and 3 others booked, and NO Hearts players booked !! Looking forward to Mr H’s match report !!
