Head coach Robbie Neilson has made his third capture of the summer by bringing in Juanma Delgado.

The Spanish striker has signed a three year deal at Tynecastle and the 24 year old will be officially ours once international clearance comes through.

Speaking to the Official Site after getting the 6ft 2in player on board, Neilson explained.

‘I`m delighted to get him. We spent a lot of time over the summer speaking to Juanma and meeting him. I`m pleased to get it done. We thought it was going to get done a few weeks ago and we had some issues with the contractual situation in Greece, but we finally got it over the line. Craig and Clive, Juanma`s agent, did a lot of work on it. He`ll be a big asset for us. He brings physicality and he`ll hopefully bring goals as well. He ‘s a good player, technically very good, great in the air, and has good link-up play. And he`s a great character, so I`m pleased to get him.’

Speaking in his own interview after signing for the club, he described Hearts as a ‘big club’ and one he was looking forward to being a success with.

Coming to us from Greek outfit AEL Kalloni as their top scorer last season, he explained.

‘I`m very happy to be here and very anxious to get started! I can`t wait to get the season underway and work hard. The facilities are great. It`s a big club and I can see that now. I`ve been particularly impressed by the family feeling at the club and that was apparent from the moment that I arrived. I want to contribute as much as possible to the team and score goals.’

He goes on to say that he won’t talk about himself as a player because that is for others to judge, all he can say though is that he wants to be a success and he’ll be trying his hardest to hit the ground running for us on our return to the Premiership in 2015-16.

Full marks too Robbie (and CL) for bringing in 2 new strikers and getting Pallardo to sign – they seem to have a clear idea of the type of player needed for the season ahead. If Reilly & Delgado offer more than Keatings, I’ll be delighted.

By the way – well done to you sir for your impressive output of articles !!!
