James Keatings has now left Tynecastle for the final time having mutually agreed to move on.

The 23 year old helped us to the Championship title last season, making 33 appearances, with a return of 11 goals and speaking to the Official Site as he said his goodbyes and began looking for a new club, he explained.

‘The first half of the season was magnificent because I was playing and scoring, and that`s what I came here to do. I`ve had the opportunity to play at Tynecastle, which I`d heard a lot of good things about, and it`s lived up to its reputation. The fans have taken to me and so have the people here at the club. The fans have been magnificent with me and I just want to thank them for making me feel welcome.’

He went on to say that it was a sad day for him leaving, but he’s confident the club will kick on and do well next term and he’s also confident for his own career.

‘I`d like to thank the club as well for being great with me during this period. They`ve been great behind the scenes and haven`t stood in my way, so for that I thank them.’

Head coach Robbie Neilson took time out to thank the youngster for his efforts this season in helping us to the title, and wished him the best for the future.

‘Both the club and myself would like to thanks James for all his efforts this season and wish him the best in the future. I`m sure he`ll get a warm reception when he comes back to Tynecastle.’

Other departures include Danny Wilson, Brad McKay, Scott Robinson, Adam Eckersley, Liam Gordon and Jake Hutchings following the expiry of their contracts with us and obviously Genero Zeefuik has now returned to his parent club Groningen following the expiry of his loan spell with us.
