Hearts’ Director of Operations (whatever that means!) Campbell Ogilvie has now been appointed as the SFA’s first Vice President.

If we think that Director of Operations at Hearts is a confusing job title, then I wonder what we think that Vice President of the SFA actually means? Does it allow him to take an active part in
making decisions crucial to the future or our game? Or does it merely give the SFA someone else to blame when yet more laughable administration of the game goes pear-shaped? I wonder….

On the positive side, at least Hearts have a representative there who should theoretically be able to ensure that we can at least be treated fairly by this organisation in the future. We certainly can’t say that this has been happening over the past couple of years, so if this enables Hearts to get a fair crack of the whip from the SFA, then it will be a positive move.

Let’s hope that’s what happens.
