The Official Website confirmed the arrival of Danny Swansea to Hearts earlier this week, with it also announced that Scott Gallacher has been allowed to leave the Jambos on loan.

Former Dundee United, Peterborough and Coventry midfielder Swanson has signed for Hearts until the end of the season whereas Gallacher has gone to Forfar for a month.

Swanson had impressed Robbie Neilson, so his arrival was highly anticipated anyway, with this officially confirmed earlier this week and he comes into contention for an instant debut against Inverness tonight?

Following the 28-year-old’s arrival Neilson said.

‘Danny will add value to the squad. He’s a really experienced player. He’s played in Scotland for a long time then had five years down in England playing at a really good level, as well as winning a Scottish Cup with Dundee United. He`s a winner and brings a lot of ability to the squad.

‘He’s impressed in training but I also knew him from Dundee United, when I was a player there. I know what he brings to the team. I know he`s got great technique and ability and he’ll be a good addition to the squad.

‘He predominantly plays in a more central area of the pitch now. He gives great through balls and passes in that area, which is where we’re a little bit light at the moment so it`s great to get him in.’

Another addition to strengthen the squad can’t be bad can it!

Gallacher though, who hasn’t found first-team football easy to come by with Hearts, will spent the next month initially on loan with Forfar with this emergency loan move set to run until 18th October with the ‘keeper potentially making his debut for them on Saturday?

He’ll train with both Hearts and Forfar so Neilson can keep a close eye on him.
