Juwon Oshaniwa says he’s aware of interest with him confirming an offer from Hearts and talks are taking place but he’s also said Celtic and Sheffield Wednesday want him too.

His future destination remains unclear although what is clear is the fact he will be leaving his Israeli club Ashdod this summer and does want to play in Britain.

The Daily Record, which also quotes him, reports that Celtic could ‘hijack’ our efforts to sign him but as well as the Scottish Champions there’s the interest from Sheffield Wednesday and Bursaspor in Turkey.

Nigerian international Oshaniwa has made it clear he wants to come to Britain to further his career, so this seems to rule out Bursaspor, with Celtic reviving an interest in the 24-year-old that had been shown in January.

‘I am aware of it. My club president confirmed the official proposal from Hearts and let me know talks are still on to seal the deal alongside my agent Ladi Salami in the UK.

‘And my agent confirmed the interest of Celtic and from Sheffield Wednesday.

‘I will be so glad to leave for greener pastures to meet up with my goal in a well-developed league to improve on the status I have got in the world of football.

‘And I am very sure I can achieve my aim with these clubs. But my mind is made up to leave Ashdod in this summer’s transfer window in as much as the deal terms are met with and sealed with any of these clubs.’

Celtic already having former Ashdod man Nir Bitton and with his Nigerian international teammate Efe Ambrose also on their books this could see them have the upper hand.

But Oshaniwa would, you think, have the better chance of regular first-team football with us wouldn’t he?
