Hearts’ Scottish Premiership season continued with a win against Inverness at Tynecastle on Tuesday.

A goal in either half saw Hearts, at the time, move to within six-points of Aberdeen in second after a two-nil win over Inverness.

Third place is basically secured for Hearts but second could yet be on with Jamie Walker putting Heart in front shortly before the break as he went through, rounded ‘keeper Owain Fon Williams and scored.

Having missed a penalty at the weekend Abiola Dauda made amends when he made the most of a poor backpass by Greg Tansey to seal the win early in the second half to amazingly give us our first win over Caley Thistle in 12-matches dating back to 2011.

19-year-old Liam Smith, who went close himself, was handed a first league start at right back with Callum Paterson out with a shoulder injury.

Inverness did have the ball in the net in injury-time but Liam Hughes, having rounded Neil Alexander to score, was adjudged to be offside.

These were the other results.
