As we know, which was briefly touched upon following the arrivals earlier this week, Heart have agreed to Gavin Reilly spending next season away from Tynecastle in a loan capacity.

Robbie Neilson is happy for Reilly to have a season-long loan with Dunfermline Athletic.

The vast majority of Reilly’s appearances for Hearts last season, with him managing 32 having signed a three-year deal last summer when arriving from Queen of the South, came from the substitutes bench with him managing four-goals.

A season in the Scottish Championship with Dunfermline is something Neilson feels will benefit the 23-year-old and see him ‘come back an even better player’ with the boss quoted by the BBC as saying.

‘It’s a chance for Gavin to play regularly and continue his development. Hopefully he’ll come back an even better player.’

Dunfermline go into the Championship having won League One last season with Neilson adding he feels they’ll ‘still be on a high’ with this seeing him play in an ‘extremely competitive environment.’

This moves came shortly after the arrival of Robbie Muirhead on a one-year deal and Connor Sammon on a three-year contract, both moves would probably limit his involvement next season?
