Hearts’ Scottish Premiership season continued with a win at Dundee on Saturday, as the Jambos came from a goal down to complete a two-one win at Dens Park to make it two out of two upon the return to the SPL.

It’s still very, very early days and no one will be getting carried away, at least they shouldn’t but this win means that Neilson’s side top the table!

Dundee had gone ahead early, and went into the break one-up through Hemmings but Juanma’s impressive start to life with Hearts in the topflight continued when he scored the equaliser early in the second half then the Spaniard grabbed the winner soon after.

Confidence would have been high for Hartley’s men after a four-nil win over Kilmarnock was gained last weekend and they carried forward this momentum when Hemmings (5) found himself unmarked at a corner to head past Alexander to give the hosts the lead.

Walker had not one, but two, chances to draw the Jambos level. Firstly his finish was poor and straight at Dundee ‘keeper Bain then he headed the rebound an empty net with Juanma also missing a header he could have done better with.

Nigerian international Oshaniwa did indeed make an instant debut with him more of a threat in the second half with last weeks match-winner, in the four-three triumph over St Johnstone, Nicholson on at the break and he made the impact desired with McPake handling his cross and that Juanma (56) to score from the penalty spot to level it up.

As he had against St Johnstone within minutes in the last match Juanma (63) showed a composed finish to put the Jambos ahead just past the hour after creating a chance of his own as he evaded a couple of Dundee challenges to beat Bain.

Hearts couldn’t add to the scoreline, however more importantly not could Dundee with another win secured.
