Hearts’ Scottish Premiership season continued with another win at Tynecastle on Wednesday, with it now three from three after the two-nil win against Motherwell that, following Celtic’s draw with Kilmarnock, took the Jambos back to the top of the SPL!

Neilson continues to find the right blend at Hearts with Motherwell, who struggled last season but remained in the SPL when they beat Rangers in the relegation/promotion play-off, unable to stop the Jambos juggernaut.

Goals in either half from Reilly, from the penalty spot, and King were enough to secure the points that, with Killie scoring a late penalty equaliser against Celtic in a two-two draw saw Hearts sitting pretty at the top of the table.

A goal Hearts had been threatening finally came, at least the chance to get this came when Nicholson was tripped by McDonald in the area and a penalty was awarded. Reilly (32) took this and marked his full debut with a goal as he beat Well ‘keeper Ripley.

The second Jambos goal, which had also been threatened, came just past the hour mark when another of the impressive winger’s King (64) got his goal and made sure the points would be going to the home side, Ripley might feel he could have done better but Hearts fans aren’t going to care!
