Hearts’ Scottish Premiership season, and what a start it’s been, continued with another win at Tynecastle against Partick on Saturday.

A first half effort from Sow was added to by two quick fire second half efforts from Nicholson and Juanma to maintain a 100% record from the opening five-matches in this three-nil win.

Patrick, as most team have so far this season and the last too, found it difficult to live with Hearts, however that breakthrough couldn’t come with Ozturk nutmeg allowing Buaben to put in Paterson for the best Jambos effort but his shot went wide via a deflection.

The breakthrough, seemingly inevitable, came when Nicholson’s corner was headed towards goal by Ozturk but former Hibernian ‘keeper Cerny kept this out with a fine save but the rebound fell to Sow (29) who opened the scoring ahead of the half hour mark.

After the break Nicholson could have, and should have, doubled the lead but he failed to beat Cerny with just the ‘keeper to beat with Juanma also spurning a chance to double the lead.

When another opportunity came Hearts’ way with Paterson fouled by Bannigan with a penalty awarded Cerny kept out Juanma’s effort, however again the Jambos were quickest to react with Nicholson (69) turning in the rebound.

Juanma (71) got his goal two-minutes later though when he was too strong for Frans before running through to beat Cerny to make it three, Reilly might have added a fourth but his effort was again saved by Cerny….three was more than enough though!
