Hearts’ Scottish Premiership season continued with a three-two win Dundee United at Tynecastle on Wednesday.

The win Hearts needed to ensure third place was secured going into the New Year was something they were able to secure as the Jambos came from a goal down to an early Billy Mckay penalty to lead three-one by the time half an hour was played after goals from Gavin Reilly, Prince Buaben and Osman Sow.

Dundee United pulled one back on the stroke of half time through Scott Fraser but then lost Mark Durnan to a sending off with Hearts seeing out the second half to close the gap on Celtic and Aberdeen to seven-points.

These were the results.

Tuesday 29th December 2015
Ross County 3-2 Kilmarnock

Wednesday 30th December 2015
Hamilton 3-4 Inverness CT
Aberdeen 0-0 Partick Thistle
Dundee P-P Celtic
Hearts 3-2 Dundee Utd
Motherwell 2-0 St Johnstone

Some very high scoring games to end the year!

Ross County edging out Kilmarnock in a five-goal thriller three-two.

What a game at Hamilton though seven-goals saw Inverness go away with a four-three win whereas Aberdeen missed the chance to go top, with Celtic’s trop to Dundee postponed, when they could only draw with Partick nil-nil at Pittodrie.
