Hearts manager Csaba Laszlo is under no illusions as to the difficult task his side face this afternoon when they take on Falkirk at Tynecastle.

In the last meeting between the sides, a closely-fought-out affair ended with the Bairns snatching a dramatic late winner at the Falkirk Stadium just when it looked as though Hearts had battled back well for deserved point. It was a result that left Csaba and his team bitterly disappointed, and the manager is keen to ensure that there is no repeat this afternoon.

He said:

‘We had a painful game against Falkirk at Falkirk and I think the team must understand they need to get something back and take the confidence for themselves.

‘But we have opponents who will also be trying to do their best.

I am a coach who always tries to do his best and win the game, and I would not like to lose, nobody does.

‘But we have to be careful because we are not a team who can go onto the field and think the opponents are small and cannot do anything.

‘We must work very hard and the most important thing is to keep the confidence from the last three games and take it into the Falkirk game. If we can do that, it would be fantastic.

‘But we cannot think about the three games before we go onto the field and think that it will be easy.

‘Falkirk is a dangerous team, like Hamilton. If you do not have full concentration, you can lose the game in the last minute, and this was the case the last time against Falkirk.’

It was indeed, and for me this is another of those games that’s very difficult to predict, even if Hearts have been on a decent run lately….
