Hearts Duo Set To Depart

Dale Carrick and Scott Gallacher look as though they’ve played their last games for Hearts after they were left behind from the 24-man party that flew out to Dublin earlier in the week.

Both have spoken with Robbie Neilson about their futures at Tynecastle with it mutually agreed that they’ll probably have a better chance of first-team football if they moved on to pastures new and that now seems likely.

Carrick made only six appearances during our Championship season with injuries holding him back, something he’s been troubled with a fair amount during his time with us with a move to Kilmarnock reportedly close so he can link with up with Gary Locke again.

The 21-year-old has also been linked with Falkirk and with Juanma Delgado, Gavin Reilly, Osman Sow and Soufian El Hassnaoui all ahead of him his chances are going to be limited….

Gallacher, due to the form of no.1 Neil Alexander, was limited to only three appearances last season and this isn’t much likely to change with Jack Hamilton currently with the squad in Dublin.

It’ll be a shame to see Gallacher go, and Carrick of course, but the 25-year-old is in need of first-team football so we wouldn’t begrudge him moving on would we?
