Hearts Hang Their Heads After Loss To Rangers

It’s bad enough losing any match at home in the SPL, but this afternoon Hearts managed to turn a one-goal lead against a rather lame Rangers side into a gut-wrenching defeat that came courtesy of a (surprise, surprise!) controversial late penalty.

If that isn’t embarrassing enough (and losing to a side with the limitations of today’s opposition always should be), the ‘champions’ actually had to play most of the match with ten men after Kevin Thompson’s early dismissal, which will obviously anger Csaba Laszlo and his coaching staff even more.

It’s yet more doom to add to the gloom already setting in at Tynecastle amid rumours of unrest within the dressing room following the team’s disappointing start to the season. The ‘glass is half empty’ will therefore be having a field day!

It shouldn’t be all negativity in the wake of this match, though. Despite the nature of the defeat and the result itself, there WERE some positives for Hearts to take from it, even if they are likely to be very difficult for most fans to see right now.

Hearts were denied a stone waller then Herr Hun contrive to win one outside the box in the last minute just as big tits has entered the field of play …… now if I didn’t know better I would assert that there,s a conspiracy going on here ……… but I do and have long since declined to subscribe to that theory ….. it all evens itself out over the season right ….???? Feckin scandalous ………….!!!

I do feel a bit aggrieved at certain things I saw today, but Hearts should have been good enough to win comfortably without having to rely upon the referee, who in all honesty didn’t have that bad a game in my view.

If you can’t beat ten men then you get what you deserve I suppose. I would say I’m gutted but i actually expected defeat yesterday. On paper Rangers and Celtic, going by wages and signing fees, should blow every club in the spl out of the water. I’m still waiting to see if we do manage to get a striker in. If not it could be a long season of low scoring games. That’s not to say we wont win games just a lot of low scoring ones coming our way.

I disagree that they should be beating everyone easily – have you seen the players they’ve got? Very average indeed – not any better than last season.
