Hearts are represented in the latest Scottish Professional Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The best eleven was selected by Craig Fowler.

The performance by Juanma in the two one victory over Aberdeen at the weekend at Tynecastle was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Scottish League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Juanma was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the SPFL blurb read.

‘Two goals and an all-round excellent performance from the Hearts forward. This was him back to his early-season best as he gave the Aberdeen defence a torrid time with his skill and strength. He also linked up well with his team-mates throughout, as he and Jamie Walker formed a formidable-looking partnership. This week’s star man.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Juanma for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the three points.

Full Team:

Jamie MacDonald (Kilmarnock), James Tavernier (Rangers), Dougie Hill (Alloa Athletic), Michael Dunlop (Albion Rovers), Callum Crane (Berwick Rangers), Patrick Roberts (Celtic), Iain Vigurs (Inverness CT), Ali Crawford (Hamilton Accies), Josh Todd (Annan Athletic), Juanma (Hearts), Kris Boyd (Kilmarnock).
