Kingston Signs For Hearts

Hearts have been granted a work permit for Ghana international midfielder Laryea Kingston.

There were fears yesterday that Kingston might not end up at Tynecastle at all, after the SFA blocked permission for Hearts to sign Georgian midfielder Gogita Gogua. However with Ghana passing a strange technicality to do with the player’s country being high enough in the world rankings, Kingston was given the green-light to begin his Hearts career. He has signed and three-and-a-half-year dea with the club.

This is great news, as by all accounts Kingston is a very highly-rated player. Anyone who can get into that Ghana midfield must be a decent player if their performances in the World Cup were anything to go by and the fact that he’ll be earning a reputed £15,000 per week must surely mean he can play. Surely!

Let’s just hope we don’t have another big-money disappointment on our hands, otherwise the blow of losing Paul Hartley (which looks likely) might take a fair bit of softening.

I think he’s going to become a Hearts hero. Lets face it, with Hartley gone, the midfield is wide open for him.
