The third round draw for the Scottish League Cup has been made with Hearts given an away tie against Kilmarnock.

Hearts, who needed extra time to see off Forfar two-one this week, will go to Rugby Park to take on a Kilmarnock side that the Jambos have already beaten this season in the Scottish Premier League – then again Hearts have beaten everyone so far this season!

After the second round ties this week, which hasn’t left too many ‘surprise’ names left in the competition, those remaining in the League Cup moved a step closer to glory in the competition, which Robbie Nielson will be hoping for from his side this season, won by Celtic last season of course when they beat Dundee United.

The full draw:

Kilmarnock v Hearts
Livingston v Inverness Caledonian Thistle
Ross County v Falkirk
Rangers v St Johnstone
Celtic v Raith Rovers
Morton v Motherwell
Dundee United v Dunfermline
Hibernian v Aberdeen

These third round ties are set to take place on either Tuesday 22nd or Wednesday 23rd September.
