The Scottish Professional Football League have now announced the Match Day officials that will take charge of the game against Motherwell this weekend.

Hearts host Motherwell on Saturday January 16 for the game at Tynecastle and the match carries a 3pm kick off.

Referee: Kevin Clancy

Match Day referee Clancy has officiated four Hearts games this season – the scoreless draw with Celtic in September, the one nil win over Dundee United in October, the one all draw with Dundee in November and the scoreless draw with St Johnstone in December. In those games he showed a total of 16 yellow cards, and two reds, six of the yellows and one of the reds to Hearts.

He has however already taken in 22 other matches so far in 2015-16 and in those games, across all competitions and football divisions, he has handed out a total of 87 yellow cards and five red cards.

He was most card happy in the match between Dundee United and Hearts on October 18 with a total of seven yellows being shown, and one red.

Let`s hope it`s not another repeat and more of our players edge closer to automatic bans.
