More Hearts Coaching Changes

Reports this morning are indicating that Hearts have made yet another change to their coaching structure.

It would seem that Anatoli Korobochka is to move out of the immediate coaching set-up and into another one of those ‘Director Of Football’ roles that Hearts seem to keep creating (usually for failed coaches!). In his place will go Angel Chervenkov, who will slip into Korobochka’s role partnering Stevie Frail on the training ground and in the dugout on match days. The new coaching team were in the Hearts dugout for yesterday’s 1-1 draw at Pittodrie.

I’m not really sure what to make of this, if anything at all to be honest. The most cynical part of me is saying that it’s just one faceless puppet being replaced by another – the main decisions seem to be made elsewhere anyway, so how is this going to make a difference? But on the other hand, perhaps this is doing these guys a big disservice – I simply do not know the answer to that, as is likely to be the case with the majority of supporters.

I think it was pretty obvious that Chervenkov will eventually become the head coac, but I’m surprised that it happenedso quickly. He was removed from Kaunas despite them being in incredible form and I guess Vlad had envisioned another role for him. On the positive side, I’ve heard tha Angel is fluent in English so maybe that will bring some stability (as if) to the club.

That has to be good then. I didn’t know that.

Besides, Angel has worked at CSKA, allbeit as an assitant manager….

Yeah we’ll just have to see how he does.

Heard good reports about him to be honest, it’s possible he may be slightly better than the other Eastern European guys we’ve had in the past. And like AirHearts says, he speaks fluent English which of course is a big plus.
