Souttar Bid Turned Down?

The Evening Telegraph has reported Hearts have had an offer, said to be ‘an audacious’ £100,000 offer, for John Souttar turned down.

In actual fact it might not be the first bid placed? Dundee United, according to reports, had already turned down an offer for Souttar with the Jambos increasing the offer but this six-figure sum still falls someway short of the Premiership strugglers’ valuation.

Souttar’s no stranger to links with Hearts as it was claimed back in 2014 he could be used as an attempted effort to sign former captain Danny Wilson, who of course eventually left for Rangers last summer.

The 18-year-old defender, who can also play in midfield, will be out of contract at Tannadice at the end of the season and despite it being thought he would sign a new deal this hasn’t yet been the case.

Perhaps, if two offers have so far been made, it could be a case of third time lucky with another bid enough to secure his services?
