The wait is almost over and the summer break almost over, which I’ve got to admit hasn’t past by too quickly but has picked up pace since the players returned to pre-season, with the 2015/16 season kicking off on Sunday.

Hearts’ 2015/16 campaign, as we return to the Scottish Premiership, gets underway on Sunday when St Johnstone are the visitors to an expectant Tynecastle, which will be an expected sell out for our first game back in the topflight after the short spell away!

Soufian El Hassnaoui and Miguel Pallardo will both sit out but Robbie Neilson will have Prince Buaben back, he was one of a few he ‘rested’ in the Jambos’ four-two win over Arbroath in the League Cup on Thursday.

Nigeria international Juwon Oshaniwa has almost completed his move to Hearts but not all the formalities have gone through, it’s thought anyway at this stage, for the left back to play a part.

Ahead of the game Neilson, speaking to the media but in quotes carried by BBC Sport, said of the St Johnstone game.

‘They are a very experienced team, strong at the back, they defend well, they are well organised. Tommy Wright’s got a real nucleus of good players there so it’s going to be a difficult game for us.

‘Any team that’s just been promoted playing against St Johnstone, if they can get a result it will be a fantastic day for them.’

St Johnstone will have Simon Lappin and Frazer Wright to call upon but Steven MacLean (suspension) sits out.

Liam Caddis will also miss out with Steven Anderson, Dave Mackay and Murray Davidson all out long-term.

This is a good test for us to return to the topflight with, it’ll give us some idea of what to expect but either way isn’t going to be definitive but what way will this one go….

Will it be a Hearts win, St Johnstone win or a draw?
