Hearts are represented in the Scottish Professional Football League Premiership team of the season that has been selected after the end of the current campaign.

The best eleven was selected by Craig Fowler.

With Hearts taking third spot in the top flight in the 2015/16 campaign following the Championship title and promotion the season before, two players find themselves in the final selection as we draw the curtain down on the season.

The performances by Igor Rossi and Arnaud Djoum see them acknowledged in the final eleven.

Explaining the choice, Fowler said.

Rossi:

‘Arguably the most underrated defender in the top flight. He missed out on a place in the PFA Team of the Year, with club-mate Alim Ozturk getting in ahead of him. While the Hearts captain had a stellar year in the Ladbrokes Premiership, his play didn’t quite match the consistently high standards of Rossi.’

Djoum:

‘The complete midfielder. Djoum is terrifically skilful, knows his way to go and is composed on the football. At the same time, he isn’t afraid to get stuck in, battle with opponents and win the ball back for his side.’

The full team selected was:

Jamie MacDonald (Kilmarnock), Shay Logan (Aberdeen), Andrew Davies (Ross County), Igor Rossi (Hearts), Kieran Tierney (Celtic), Graeme Shinnie (Aberdeen), Tom Rogic (Celtic), Arnaud Djoum (Hearts), Jonny Hayes (Aberdeen), Leigh Griffiths (Celtic), Kane Hemmings (Dundee).
