We took yet another step closer to the Championship title when we incredibly, as we recorded a League record, beat Cowdenbeath ten-nil at Tynecastle on Saturday – among the goalscorers was Zeefuik, who scored a three-minute hat-trick, also one of the quickest in Scottish football ever.

King almost drove us into a first minute lead but he was denied by the woodwork before a Wedderburn handball gave us a penalty. Zeefuik (26) stepped up and made no mistake and just a minute later Zeefuik (27) beat Thomson to make it two-nil. When was Nicholson brought down by Toshney, not only was he sent off we had another penalty. Zeefuik (29) stepped up again to complete his three-minute hat-trick.

Nicholson (33) fired home a 20-yard effort to make it four before setting up Walker (39) to make it five at the break.

With Gomis brought down before the hour the third penalty of the afternoon saw Gomis (57) step up himself to convert with Ozturk (61) adding yet another just past the hour with Wilson (68) making it eight by the midway point of the second half.

Sow’s (70 & 74) rounded off the scoring with two-goals in four-minutes to complete the scoring.
