Hearts make the short journey to Livingston tomorrow knowing they’ll need to improve upon last week’s performance in the Cup if they want to come back with all three points.
Despite winning 2-1 against Partick Thistle, Hearts were out-of-sorts for long spells and the fans will be looking for a return to the quick, free-flowing football that saw them hammer Livvy 4-1 here in the corresponding fixture earlier in the season.
The home side have Jambo legend John Robertson as their new manager and he will be determined to get a win under his belt to breathe life into Livingston’s flagging survival challenge. Although Robbo publicly states he has no bitterness towards Romanov about his departure from Hearts, you can bet your life he’ll be doing everything he can to stick it right up the Hearts owner!
Livingston Team News:
Paul Tierney and Gabor Vincze are both suspended, while Steven Hislop faces a late fitness test.
Player to watch: Robert Snodgrass
Doesn’t always start for Livvy but I’ve always been impressed by him.
Hearts Team News:
Paul Hartley and Julien Brellier are suspended so Rix is struggling to put out a strong midfield: you’d expect Aguiar or Johnson (or both) to come in there.
Steven Pressley has recovered from a virus and Jose Goncalves has been added to the squad.
Player to watch: Davidas Cesnauskis
Has been in fine form lately and scored a great goal against Thistle last week.
