Nearly £500K Due To Rix?

Former Hearts Head Coach Graham Rix is continuing to seek the compensation that he feels he’s due after his controversial spell in charge at
Tynecastle.

Rix was sacked almost exactly a year ago after he became too honest for his own good and told the players that he didn’t have full control over first team
affairs. The club’s owners will tell you a different story to this of course, but I think we all know that, despite the Rix appointment being a bizarre one at best in the first place, this is the reason he was sacked. And in my opinion the guy is quite right to be asking for compensation – he was lied to about his remit in the Head Coach role and was made to look an idiot because he couldn’t do his job properly.

The amount of money being claimed for is reportedly £444,000 ‘in damages’. There was a preliminary court hearing yesterday where it was decided that Rix himself will need to give evidence and it looks as though both Vladimir and Roman Romanov will also be required to do so.

You can say what you want about Rix i.e. bad appointment, little track record as a manager, etc. But at least he had the balls to tell the truth, unlike Valdas who continues to insult the fans by continually being a messenger for his bosses’ lies.

very good points, do you think Rix’s lawyers have deliberately set that compensation figure so high in the hopes of Vlad deciding to settle up at the eleventh hour “out of court” for a significantly reduced fee?. I suppose that’s what we pay lawyer’s for at the end of the day.

Yes you’re probably right. That’s how these things normally end up. As for lawyers, I’m not entirely sure what it is that we pay them for exactly! Anyone who’s dealt with them when buying property will probably tell you something along the lines of “nothing”!
