Brellier Norwich-Bound?

Some of the papers are reporting today that Norwich City have enquired about the availability of Hearts midfielder Julien Brellier.

It does seem certain now that, despite the educated fans amongst us’ best efforts to encourage the management to give JB a chance, the Frenchman will never be treated properly by the Hearts management. By saying ‘properly’ I mean given a run of games in the first team to show what he can really do, not giving him the odd start every five or six games, when he’s bound to be rusty.

It’s little coincidence that all of Hearts’ really top performances in the past year and a half have included Brellier as the lynchpin in midfield, but obviously there are those at the club that either disagree with this or have some sort of personal problem with the player. Some say it’s to do with his red card in Greece for wearing an earring, but the harsh treatment of Brellier had started long before then.

If Le Juge does go then he goes with my best wishes. In a way I’d almost prefer him to be sold to a rival to really show Romanov just how much of an erse he made of things with JB, but then that would just be plain silly wouldn’t it?

I mean, Hearts would never sell a top player to a rival club!

Its an absolute sin. Back in Burley’s day the Brellier/Hartley/Skacel combination was probably the best Hearts midfield in my lifetime. Brellier provided the stability whilst the other two provided the attacking options. C’est la vie, que sera sera. It hurts to think where Hearts would be just now if the Burley era had lasted. Merde.

Good to see on the BBC website that Jose Goncalves is on the mend and should be back soon. He seemed like a pretty good player the few times I saw him.

Denied by his agent in the edin even news. However its more than likely he will go at the end of the season. It would be a pity if he moves on – just another example of the bizarre goings on at Hearts these days.

Yes I mean if you were JB would YOU want to stay? As for Jose, I agree he looks useful but having seen him an centre-half in his past few appearances, it’s difficult to know what his best position actually would be. Not centre-half I’d suggest!
