Head coach Robbie Neilson has admitted that the two nil victory over Hamilton at the weekend was certainly hard fought and scrappy, but he felt we had more than deserved all three points.

Speaking to the Official Site with the win coming from Prince Buaben and Arnaud Djoum goals on the day, a happy head coach explained.

‘I thought we played really well in the first half and obviously we got a couple of goals on the back of that. The second half was a bit scrappy but overall we competed well and played some good football at times. We`re trying to stay as close as we can to the top teams. Top six is the goal for the season but if we can finish higher up then great. We`ll go through another sticky patch at some point, so we`re staying level headed. If we hit a spell where we`re struggling then we need to be prepared and get out of it as quickly as we can.’

With Djoum going off in the second half with an injury, Neilson went on to say that he didn’t feel there would be a lengthy lay off for the Belgian midfielder as with it only being a bit of tight hamstring, it was more the case they didn’t want to make it worse and rest should suffice.

‘Arnaud is fine, it`s just a tight hamstring. He`s played a fair bit recently so he`ll get a break now and he`ll be fine once we return to league action.’

With a fortnight or so break now owing to the November international weekend, it’s well timed for him to get the rest he needs and be ready for the Dundee clash on November 21.

Djoum was also in the press, and the Brechin Advertiser have him quoted as saying that with it being the first year back in the Premiership but with Hearts form putting them in second place in the table, he’d be delighted if we could dream of pipping Celtic to the title this year.

‘I think we dream about winning the league but first of all the objective of the club is to reach the top six. Now we are close to Celtic and that’s good, it means the team is doing well. We need to keep doing this now and try to win as many games as possible. I think we are in good shape and we need to continue like that. But if we put too much pressure on ourselves that would not be good. We don’t want to think about second place and we don’t want to think about Celtic. We just need to focus on ourselves and try to win games, that’s the most important thing.’
