Head coach Robbie Neilson and Danny Swanson have both given their thoughts ahead of the game against Hamilton Academicals this weekend.

Beginning with Neilson, he told the Official Site that he was pleased with where we found ourselves in the league and how we are performing but he knew there was still plenty of hard work left to do this season.

‘We`re in a good position, but we started the season well and everyone talked us up. We then lost three on the bounce and people questioned whether we`d be able to make the top six. So we`re not getting carried away, there`s plenty of work to do.’

With Jon Daly being announced as our new Under 20 coach earlier in the week, Neilson said that he would definitely be an asset to the club once he can take up the position in January – he remains contracted with Raith Rovers until then.

‘Me and Craig Levein both know Jon quite well; Craig managed him at Dundee United and I played alongside him there. He`s a good character and we`re confident he`ll make a good coach and be someone who our young players can look up to and learn from.’

As for Swanson, in his own pre game interview he said that consistency would be key for Hearts as we continue through the season now, especially as he feels that we can still find plenty of improvement in our performance levels.

‘It`ll be a tough game on Saturday, they turned us over at Hamilton before I came along but we`re going in to the game on the back of a good result at Partick. We`re in second place and the boys are full of belief. We`ve got a good squad of players but it`s all about consistency, so we`re looking to put a good run together now.’

He also had praise for the gaffer and talked briefly about how he’d settled into life at the club.

‘The set-up here is really good. The training sessions here are excellent and you have to credit the manager for that. The work Robbie puts in is incredible, he`s got the players working hard and he puts a lot of effort into the training drills. We work hard but it`s enjoyable as well, so I`m loving it so far.’
