Having already signed Lithuanian defender Nerijus Barasa and midfielder Lee Johnson, Hearts are also close to completing the signing of Bosnia-Herzegovina midfielder Mirsad Beslija for what would be a club record signing of around £800,000.
Graham Rix has intimated that he is also looking to sign at least two more ‘top class’ players this week, with one of them strongly rumoured to be Scotland winger Neil McCann, who played in Hearts’ cup-winning side of 1998. The identity of the other player would appear to be a mystery at present, although Liverpool youngster Neil Mellor’s name is constantly being linked with the club.
